Here in the south, the climate is really mild, and the summer is long and warm giving the possibility for a good efficient vacation. The town is situated on two peninsulas and has three picturesque sandy beaches with a total area of over 9 km – something very rare and attractive for visitors on our Black Sea coast. Here passes the so-called “Via Pontica” – the flying path of all birds coming from Northern Europe and going to the South. With its diversity of landmarks, Tsarevo is distinguished as one of the most attractive municipalities on the Southern Black Sea coast. Here you can find a unique combination of sea, mountain, and rivers with exotic vegetation and a rich diversity in animals. This fact together with the long lasting traditions and authenticity of Strandzha cultures and manners, this region provides for the development of different types of tourism – educative, echo and ethno tourism, yacht tourism, photo and hobby tourism, ecological, hunting tourism and many others. Here is the first sea port on the Bulgarian south border. Its greatest advantage is its proximity to Bosphorus exit, and the aquatory water is the purest one on the whole coast. It is famous for its mild winter which makes it possible for vessels to be docked there all year round. These factors make Tsarevo port particularly attractive by both local and foreign yachtsmen. Tsarevo Municipality is also popular for its cultural monuments some of which are of regional and national significance. Only here at the foot of Strandzha Mountain, and near Tsarevo, are still preserved some unique heathen customs which have blended with the Orthodox ones over time. This is for instance the “Nestinarka dancing over the fire” in honour of Saint Constantine and Elena. Another proof for the ancient history and the cultural significance of the region are the recently found Thracian artifacts near the village of Sinemorets. There are numerous Thracian funeral mounds and other historical monuments found in the region of Tsarevo which will attract more tourists to our Southern coast.
